The Swallow opened its doors back on 08th December in 1989 and from that date has been an LGBT pub ever since.  A licensed premises since 1824 and after numerous transformations it has become the pub that many of the LGBT community consider a safe and relaxing environment today.

Before it became an LGBT pub it was known as 'Aristocats'.  Many customers still frequent the pub from those days gone by and often comment on how friendly a welcome they receive whether they are from the LGBT community or not.

Over the years many have come and gone.  With a steady flow of regular customers and many more visitors throughout the week, you can guarantee a relaxing yet enjoyable night out.

In December of 1989, Colin, whom is still the landlord today, opened the door with his partner Peter.

Eddie the manager had previously been working on a part-time basis, whilst working as a submariner, until in 2002 he became full-time manager and  joint licensee.
